For a while now I’ve been working on building my own network controlled LED dimmer. I have sampeled some commercially available remotely controllable LED dimmers (DX.com models, AppLamp, Fibaro Z-wave, etc.) but all either lacked some fuctions or where WAY too expensive to rollout house wide. So, I decided to construct my own version! In … Continue reading ESP8266 WiFi LED dimmer Part 1 of X: The setup
Ever since we’ve moved to our new house we have been having trouble keeping our energy usage in check. This started with LED drivers and 12v/24v power supplies for LED lighting. There will be more about that in later blog posts. For this first time tryout talk … Continue reading Video: Phone Chargers 101
In 2018 I made a video about 4K IP camera models from Dahua, since then my favorite model has been the HDW5831R. At the beginning of this year new 4K models became available in their “H265 Lite” line of cameras and I was curious how they would stack up, so, buckle up because this video … Continue reading IPcam: Testing new 4K (8MP) “2019” IP camera models from Dahua
It’s been a bit quiet around here, there are two main reasons for that. The first is that I’ve been focussing on my YouTube channel a lot, the second is that I’ve been putting time and energy in creating a new website http://quinled.info.
